Elopements & Micro Weddings
Our elopements and micro-weddings are wedding days built to be experienced. We borrow the best parts of larger weddings and concentrate them into smaller group sizes, combining traditional and contemporary elements in exclusive and breathtaking landscapes.
Whether you're dreaming of an intimate mountaintop ceremony for just the two of you or a magical forest celebration for your 30 closest family members and friends, our team are experts at making deeply romantic, exciting, and boundary-pushing wedding experiences possible without the stress.
The (near) future is small. And outdoors.
The past few months have completely upended how the world thinks about gathering. As local agencies grapple with the safety of large group sizes, travel, and indoor events, we have heard from a huge number of couples who are reimagining their wedding plans.
Some are just beginning to explore options, but many have been planning a larger wedding for months (or years) and are now going back to the drawing board.
With this in mind, we made the decision to dedicate our vast network of outdoor sites, our incredible team, and the full resources and attention we give our larger events to provide a solution to this looming challenge.
Did we mention we're flexible?
We’ve designed a package that will allow you to use any of the vendors you already have scheduled, change your group size or dates without penalty, and have even created discounts for those who have been most impacted.
Worried there are no Saturday dates available?
We got you. One of the things we've heard the most is that Friday and Saturday dates at originally-booked venues are now unavailable through 2021. We understand that you aren’t prepared to try to make a 150 person wedding happen on a weekday, or wait 1-2 more years to tie the knot, so we are adding new urban and wilderness sites to our roster weekly to ensure that there are always dates available for our guests.
We also currently have more than 50 unique sites in Arizona, California, Utah, Nevada, Texas, and Washington. Whether you're planning a small ceremony now and keeping a larger reception held for the future, or just want peace of mind that you'll have access to a weekend if anything changes, you can rest easy.
Why Cloth & Flame?
Our focus has always been to make stunning experiences comfortable and accessible in seemingly impossible locations. Over the years, we have built a world-class team of planners, designers, fabricators, and an incredible roster of exclusive sites. So for us, the lines between photo elopements, elopement experiences, micro-weddings, and large wedding celebrations are not drawn in permanent ink.
This means that:
We'll always do the heavy-lifting: we are here to be your creative ally every step of the way. This means that we won't hand off a list of recommended vendors and expect you to figure it out. No matter how small the wedding, we'll always guide you through the process and handle communication, and logistical planning.
Your wedding will be much more than a photoshoot: the words "elopement" and "photoshoot" are often used interchangeably. Don't get us wrong – creating space for beautiful experiences that inspire intimate and candid images is what we do! We just keep a ton of emphasis on the experience itself. The experience of dreaming up ideas, of putting the pieces together, and of the natural moments that happen in these spaces. Our goal is to make sure your memories of your day will be of a celebration, not a photo session designed to look like one!
Getting creative won’t mean adding tons of new vendors and costs later: we have the ability to control quality at every level and go big on production value without needing individual vendors, delivery, and installation for each element. This means that things like arches and florals, chef-driven dining experiences, craft cocktail bars, custom printing, seating, table design, and lighting can be available wherever your wedding takes you. It also limits the number of schedules and deposits to balance should anything change later on.
You'll always have legal access to your site: we maintain contracted access and general liability insurance for all of our sites, and most are managed exclusively by Cloth & Flame. You will never be surprised with a tap on the shoulder from a park ranger asking you for photography or commercial event permits.
"Having a smaller wedding helped us focus on what’s most important - at least to us - that was getting married in our favorite place with those that love us most."
