Since 2002, Barrio Café has been the celebrated home to Chef Silvana Salcido Esparza, whose unique cuisine serves to elevate Mexican American culture. Her versions of regional Mexican favorites are recognized as some of the best Mexican cuisine not only in Phoenix but also regionally and nationally. A five-time James Beard Award nominee, Chef Silvana has been nominated once again in 2020 and is a finalist in the Best Chef Southwest category
