This dinner is for you. So many of you contacted us after our last dinner sold out, that we rallied our team and put this special night together for you.
We'll be bringing Chef Michael Babcock along, who will prepare each course in an open kitchen, showcasing some of Arizona's greatest farmers, growers and purveyors on each plate. The good folks at Pour Amor will also join in on this dinner, opening up and closing down the night with their unique handcrafted cocktail programming.
We're thrilled that in addition to the food, landscape, and community, guests of this dinner will be treated to an intimate desert performance by The Senators with special guest Brian Lopez.
The evening will also mark the release of The Senators new EP King of America. The EP is the latest release from the band’s work with lauded producer Simone Felice (Lumineers, Jade Bird, Avett Brothers.)
The Senators recently left their hometown of Phoenix to make a record in the Catskill Mountains – upstate New York country that has been home to folk legends like The Band, Bob Dylan, and Joni Mitchell. After emailing a homemade demo to one of their folk idols, Simone Felice (Felice Brothers, Lumineers, Avett Brothers), they were invited to record at Simone’s studio, an old converted barn.
This year, The Senators released three tracks from the album as the Promised Land EP, collaborating with Phoenix-based Fortoul Brothers for the album’s art and visuals. The EP was recently included on several Spotify editorial playlists.
This is the first of two co-bills with Brian Lopez: Phoenix (12/14), Tucson at Club Congress 12/28
ABOUT BRIAN LOPEZ:
"This Guided By Spirits vinyl re-release of Prelude by veteran Tucson musician Brian Lopez is a vulnerable lo-fi masterpiece focused on capturing the energy of the moment and letting it shine. Lopez originally recorded these ten songs over a two-week period from 6pm until 4am in his bedroom.
